Year 3 celebrated World Book Day by doing plenty of fun activities throughout the day. Children came into school wearing pyjamas and were all set for a day of books and story telling.
Children started the day by picking a book to read and sitting or lying anywhere in class. Children then made fabulous emoji bookmarks, before going along to the hall to pick a book of their choice, out of all those that were donated by children and parents, as well as some from our school library.
We also read some of our new Year 3 text, the Flood, and focused on interpreting the images of this tragic narrative story.
For our afternoon session, we had a very special visit from a story teller who told a variety of different stories, using music (the bongos) and singing to engage and tell stories.
