Year 3 – Science Investigation – Magnets

Year 3 children learned about the north and south poles this week and did an investigation using a magnetic train set. Children made predictions on whether the train would pull (attract) or push (repel) depending on which way the train and carriage were facing.

Children showed the different variations for pushing and pulling and then drew a scientific diagram of the train and carriage. Children added labels and directional arrows which reflected the experiment.
