Year 3 – Measurement

Year 3 have been learning about measurement and conversion in mathematics. Children are becoming more familiar and confident in their knowledge of metres, centimetres, and millimetres. Children have been using a ruler to measure objects in cm and mm, and are aware that different units of measurement are more appropriate to measure different objects. We have also started to look at perimeter (the distance around the edge of a shape).
