Year 3 learned how to use search engines as part of their computing week on information technology. Children looked at types of search engines and looked at those that are appropriate for younger children i.e. Swiggle (https://swiggle.org.uk), typing words that match the search criteria, websites where information can be accessed, and the types of things they can search for: information, news, music, people, history … We then designed a poster to show what we had been learning about.
