Year 3 enjoyed their first session in gymnastics (floor) and focused on making different shapes. This included: star, pike, dish, arch, tuck, straddle, front support, and back support.
The children also tried different ways of balancing using point balance (small areas such as feet and hands) and patch balance (larger areas such as their back, bottom, abdomen).
Children also focused on answering the question: What makes a good balance?
We then discussed body tension and extension.
