Year 3 – Digital Art

Year 3 children enjoyed learning new computing skills on the iPad using the Purple Mash app. Children focused on being able to select different colours, change the size of the line to add greater detail, and use a digital rubber to erase. Children were also tasked with being able to save their work in an online Year 3 folder.

Their digital art was inspired by Stone Age caving paintings and this is something the children will look at in much more detail when we start our history unit of work next week: the Stone Age to the Iron Age. Children used earthy colours and aimed to create an animal, a tribe, and a hand print.
