Year 2 had an amazing day at the Centre for Life. We started with a fascinating visit to the planetarium where we learnt about the different constellations which can be found in the night sky. Then we took part in a brilliant work shop where we learnt about climates, the continents of the world and the habitats of different species of animal. After lunch we went travelling through time in the Science Theatre and learnt about inventors from our local area. Then we had the opportunity to expand our learning about astronauts earlier in the year in the Space Zone. We finished our trip by exploring working scientifically in the Wow Zone. There were pullies, levers and an Archamede’s screw which could be used to transport pellets in a variety of ways.
