Year 1 – 3D sculptures

In art lessons, Year 1 have been learning all about 3D sculptures. Children used thin card, paper and masking tape to create their own 3D sculptures inspired by Louise Bourgeois’ large sculpture named ‘Spider’.

Pupils used the skills they had learned in previous lessons such as scrunching, rolling, twisting and bending to create their structure. Once all of their parts were sturdy and in place, children then began to paint them. They used a mixture of brown and black paint to add texture to their artwork. Great work Year 1👏🏼⭐️
