Year 6 are reading a class novel -Armistice Runner all about a World War I soldier. They have been learning all about conscription and what it meant for young men and their families during WWI. Take a look at the pictures of the pupils taking part in a class debate- was conscription right? There were lots of excellent opinions put across as well as counter-arguments both for and against. The debate is helping the children to write a balanced argument with the same enquiry question.
