Reception have been focusing on people who help us and learning all about the different jobs they do. A dentist came into class to talk about the importance of looking after teeth. The children learnt about how many baby teeth they had and how a dentist checks that teeth are healthy.

Some children got to dress up as a dentist whilst others showed their friends how to clean teeth properly.
The children worked in pairs to sort foods into categories of ‘good’ and ‘bad’ and talked about their choices.
Finally the children had fun identifying fruit and vegetables by their descriptions and then making the shape of them.
