Take One Picture

As part of our school’s Arts Mark journey, we aimed to raise the profile of Art and Design through participation in national arts celebrations. One of the ways in which we have achieved this goal was through participating in Take One Picture. Take One Picture is a program delivered by the National Gallery in which children throughout the country respond to a piece of artwork. This year’s painting was  ‘The Courtyard of a House in Delft’ by Pieter de Hooch.

Each class explored the artwork and chose a specific area of inspiration for their own piece of art.  After completing their art it was displayed in the school hall as a whole school art exhibition for children and parents to enjoy.
