STEM Week: Making a water clock

In Year 2 we have been celebrating STEM week. This year, the theme was time. We discussed different ways we can tell and measure time. Then we learnt about water clocks. Also known as a clepsydra, they are one of th oldest ways to measure amount of time. After making. Water clock, we explored how the amount of water we put inside change the duration we can measure. We noticed that the more water placed inside, the longer it took to empty. Then we used. Pen to mark intervals of thirty seconds and one minute to make accurate timers.
