STEM Week in Y4

Y4 have enjoyed a brilliant STEM week this week, where they have took part in two workshops and completed their own design and technology project. The first workshop was with Dr. Neesha, a dentist who taught us all about the importance of looking after our teeth! The second workshop was with some chemical engineers and researchers from Newcastle University, where we learned all about how to save the planet, make electricity with bacteria, used a microscope to investigate surfaces and even made our own soap! We also carried out our own DT project, where we made Roman Gromas out of recycled materials in school. We will be putting everything we have done on display for parents in a few weeks!!
