Newcastle Sings, created by Music Partnership North, Newcastle, and in collaboration with Newcastle University Music Department, were at St. Teresa’s this week for a special session with our Year 3 and Year 5 classes.
Miles introduced a variety of new songs for children to listen to and learn, and some children were even asked to perform movements to the lyrics based on how they reacted to the songs! We’ll be doing more fantastic work with Miles and Newcastle Sings in the summer and will look forward to inviting you to follow Year 3 and 4 around a series of venues around Newcastle as they sing a variety of exciting and inspirational songs!
The aim of the Newcastle Sings festival is twofold: to celebrate, inspire and enthuse children from across the region, and to provide exciting opportunities for all to try out something new or perform somewhere new.
