Geography in Year 2

Year 2 have been learning about the weather in their geography lesson. They have learnt about the different elements of the weather and the equipment we can use to measure them.

To further develop their understanding of measuring the weather they made weather vanes. After carefully assembling their weather vanes they used them to find out which direction the wind was blowing. After some adjustments our wind vanes worked brilliantly.

Over the next week Year 2 will be using our very own weather station to record weather readings of temperature, wind speed and rainfall.
