This term Forest School has been full of activities to do with teamwork, resilience, independence, confidence & creativity. Forest School has even hosted The Romans & Ancient Greeks!
All the children have worked on activities to develop trust & teamwork using blindfolds, hoops & completing scavenger hunts. Using natural materials Year 6 created scenes from their favourite books. Year 5 made Greek pots, God & Goddess faces, floor art, whittled paintbrushes which they used to write their names using the Greek alphabet & even sailed boats, they designed then made, on the pond. Year 4 have made Roman numerals, roundhouses, pots, coins & whittled paintbrushes which they used to write their names using the Roman alphabet. Through these Forest School lead activities the children have gained a mix of academic & personal development through Art, History, Geography, Mathematics, Science, Drama & PE. They have received invaluable life experiences & had a lot fun along the way !
