Continuous Provision in Reception

It has been a busy first week back after the Easter holidays. There has been lots going on in Reception both in the classroom and in the outdoor area. The children have been practising counting to 20 and beyond and were challenged to complete the Numicon challenge and record the answers.

In the outside area the children played track games taking turns and carefully counting.

In R.E. The children have been learning about the Jewish celebration of Purim and they made their own masks as part of the celebration.

The theme this half term is Ticket to Ride with a focus this week on trains. The children have been writing sentences about trains, listening to stories about them and building their own with large and small equipment.
